Eat. Drink. Party.

with art as our witness

Thank you to: Monday Night Garage

March 6, 2025

A night to eat, drink & party-
for a truly heartfelt cause.

Dozens of supporters joined us for the launch of The Aster Project as we honored the Aster Families on this night to remember. We indulged in a gourmet meal by celebrity chef Elliott Farmer, enjoyed cocktails from our full bar, and heard from inspiring guests,  Kimberly Latrice Jones and the families themselves.

We displayed art installations, heard from the Aster families, danced to DJ Calvin rocking the house, and closed out the evening with a surprise musical performance by Young Dro.

You've Stood With Us

For the past three years, many of you have stood beside us as we built this vision from the ground up—a true grassroots effort to bring the reality of police violence in our city to the forefront of public consciousness through the power of public art.

This year, Georgia families and Atlanta creatives will unite to share the true and complete stories of their loved ones who were killed by police. In phase one, we will install a 2,000 sq. ft. portrait mural in the heart of downtown Atlanta, featuring at least 20 individuals lost to police violence. Alongside this, we will share their “Aster Stories” on our website, a collaboration between the families, investigative journalists, and award-winning writers. The truth is our tool for change—because we know that when people know the truth, they care. And they act.

This milestone is yours as much as it is ours, and we owe it to ourselves as a community to celebrate. We invite you to join us—and the Aster Families— to set our vision in motion for 2025

Art as Our Witness

Through the transformative power of public art, we’re reclaiming these narratives. We’re working directly with families to ensure their loved ones are honored in full— shining a light on their lives, challenging false narratives from media and police reports, and using art as a bridge to meaningful public engagement.

March 6th we celebrate the offical launch of the Aster Project’s first event, Art as Our Witness. And you’re invited!
